Research: Author & Novel
Step 3: Your group needs to find specific information about the author of your novel. You may include more information, but make sure that you have the following questions answered somewhere in your presentation.
To discourage plagiarism, copy each of the questions on a 5x7 index card by hand along with your findings. Also keep track of the sources you use and note them in your presentation. You could divide and conquer this part of the process so that each of you are responsible for finding some of the information. When you come together on Fridays in the lab you can share your work and decide where it will fit into your presentation. Again ALWAYS list your source on each card.
This could end up reading like an "About the Author" section similar to what you would find on the book jacket or sleeve of any book you might purchase. The format of your presentation will determine whether you should use bullets versus paragraphs.

- What is the full name, birthday, and birthplace of the author of your novel?
- What other works have been published by this author and when were they written?
- What notable accomplishments can you tell us about the author?
- Why or how did the author come up with this novel idea?
